Okamoto | 004 (Luxury Thin)

Easily the BEST feeling condom I've ever tried on. Practically felt like nothing was there and fit was perfect. Much prefer the regular version over the aloe one as the lube on that wasn't the best for my girlfriend and I (sticky and left some sort of residue). Definitely recommend for average sized guys (especially over store brands) and will be using again and again!

I have never understood the appeal of Okamoto/Crown condoms. Don’t get me wrong; they’re not bad products. I’m just confused as to why they seem to top the charts in many circles as I don’t think there’s anything particularly special about them. My wife and I have tried both the Crown Skinless Skin and the Okamoto 0.04 several times, and we always come away with the same opinion: meh.

The Okamoto 0.04 isn’t bad, but it’s not great, either, which is odd because there are several latex condoms of this same thickness that have become favorites of ours (e.g., One Vanish, Kimono Microthin, Trojan Bareskin, and EXS Air Thin). But, for some reason, the Okamoto 0.04 just doesn’t perform at the level we would expect from a latex condom at this thickness. The sensation and heat transfer just aren’t there. We thought it might be a fluke, so we’ve given it several chances, but the result has always been the same.

This product is average. It’s not bad, but it’s nothing to write home about, either. As mentioned, heat transfer is normal but not great.

Bottom line: This condom would be good in a pinch as it certainly won’t cause a negative experience, but there are so many better options out there at this same thickness and price point that there’s no compelling reason to seek it out over any other standard-performance condom.

We might use this condom again if that’s what’s on hand, but it’s definitely not something we would go out of our way to track down. It doesn’t perform well enough for what we’re used to, and we keep pretty well stocked, so I doubt we’ll need it to pinch-hit anytime soon.

The Okamoto 004 is the best condom for feeling like you have nothing on. It is incredibly thin, and you have to keep checking to make sure it's actually on because it's so comfortable. My only complaint about this condom is that it has a weird smell. That's seriously the only thing I can complain about. In some cases it could be too thin. It's so unnoticeable that the pleasurable feeling can creep up on you faster than you'd want it too. Seriously, just get a bunch of these. I currently subscribe to the Unique Pulls because they are latex free and if I didn't have a slight issue with latex, I would just be stocking up on these.

Insanely thin, feels great

My fiance had a little trouble opening the package. After that, though, this condom was fine. It felt decent, not scratchy or thick.

I really enjoyed this condom. Pretty much no odor, silky smooth lubricant. The nipple reservoir is a bit small, most are more bulbous and more volume. I just enjoy the feeling it gives that way. I added a small squirt of lube inside before putting it on. Very easy to roll it on, and fit me just right, with only a very thin ring at the base when fully sheathed, I'm a little over 5.5". It conforms to your shaft very well due to being very thin, and you almost don't notice it's there. It didn't slide around and stayed in place, we were having sex with her riding me on top. She could feel me easily, almost bareback she said. Everything was just right and felt great for both of us!

Used these on toys so I don't know how they feel for the wearer but vaginally these are amazing. Literally forget that they are there and they are so thin that I could still feel small nubs on the toys through them. I expected them to be on the smaller side but they are a good average size. I think even a bit above average would still fit comfortably. Didn't use them orally so I don't know how they taste but I have a feeling they aren't bad at all. Good temperature transfer, barely-there latex smell, non-irritating, easy to open foil. These check all the boxes tbh. Definitely stocking up and passing them out to everyone I know.

This definitely feels better than some of the other condoms we've tried, although I'm not sure if it's the .004 thickness or the generous lubrication. At any rate, we had some great times with it. A little pricey, but then again how much would you pay for a good fuck? ;)
My only gripe with the 004 is that it's a little too snug for me at times (not always). I wish they'd make this in other sizes. I've tried Beyond Seven as advised here and I don't feel they provide the same level of enjoyment.

The 004 and EXS Air are my favorite condoms with the 004 probably winning out. The 004 is snugger than the EXS Air but once on really stretches and conforms like no other I’ve tried. The thinness allows for great feeling and sensitivity. Definitely use lube for maximum enjoyment. Also, don’t be deterred because the 004’s are a few cents more expensive than the others. Try them. You will be glad you did!

I mean WOW, as someone who stopped using condoms with my girlfriend (who takes birthcontrol) this one makes it not too bad at all to use a condom again!

This is by far one of the thinnest condoms I've ever used. I really like them and will continue to order them. Lube doesn't smell bad. However be warned if your partner isnt wet, there is a chance that any condom will break when you enter. Love these highly recommended them.

Great feels very thin then any other condoms actually feels like I’m wearing nothing unlike other brands how they lie about there brand. This one actually feels like almost nothing. Wife love it ALOT. She even thought I wasn’t wearing one & told me to buy more. They feel amazing.

These are by far the thinnest condom we've used where I can still feel everything but they're too tight and restricting for my boyfriend so we've switched to the Naked brand to allow for more movement for him. Otherwise it is a great condom.

A bit snug if you are between standard and large. Didn't mind that with this one as much. So thin in fact that it allowed for some natural feeling foreskin movement, which is saying something.
Comparable to EXS Air Thin.

Excellent condom. A bit on the larger side but still fit well. Would recommend a lube to go with it. Easy to get off as well.

I'm pretty new to the condom game, and the game in general for that matter ;). I tried the sample pack first which had one of these condoms in it, and let me say it definitely stood out above the rest. Much more feeling is transferred through these than the others I tried. Very close to natural. Also fit is very good. Would recommend these to anyone looking for as close to no condom as you can get.

I've been trying a lot condoms and had to try this because of the thinness. Crown Skinless used to be my favorite as they provide that close to natural feel, but they are a little tight. The 004 is super thin and I could feel everything, although my wife didn't notice any difference. It was a little tight at the base and snug elsewhere, but it didn't allow for enough movement while inside. So while the sensitivity is improved, the motion felt inhibited and wasn't all there for me. 004 only gets 4 stars. If you want the same thinness, but wider, try EXS!

This condom felt very thin, which was nice. Personally though, wasn't quite as snug a fit compared to Beyond Seven

Now I know that everyone raves over this condom, and for good reason, but I personally do not see what the hype's about(given the options of some other condoms). I've used this condom twice now and honestly like it very much! The feel is great! It does allow a lot of sensation to pass through while giving a great fit for me personally. However, I personally think that this condom does give out a sent that isn't strong, but is bothersome. I have found that other condoms like EXS air and Kimono microthin preform much better all while not giving a smell and a cheaper cost. Again, this is a great condoms worth trying for yourself, but do continue to explore other options that might suite you better!

Personally, this is my favorite condom and feels the best for me. I've tried the sampler and many other condoms but this is my go to and probably will be forever!

Hands down, the best latex condom I've ever used. I would recomend this product to any and all condom users.

No noticeable latex odor, good fit and good lubrication from package. I wouldn't say there's anything different or special about this particular condom compared to other ultrathins, but it is a great condom and worth a try!

These seem to fit fine even though they are M and LB puts me at a L. The smell is very minimal. The condom feel is great. If you are at the border of L I would still give these a try.

These are awesome. If you want to feel 99 percent of what's going on you want to wear one of these. Although there is still a little bit of desensitizing (the result of latex between you and your lover), I find that can be a bonus - since it allows me to last longer. Great for every type of activity that you would wear a condom for, my wife and I enjoy this one the best.

I hesitated trying these because of the price, but they are now my favorite by far. Great fit, good sensation, and they seem quite durable. Also a bit of a conversation starter when they come out because few people in the US have seen these.

Definitely one to try epecially if you are used to trojans. You will never go back. The sensitivity is unmatched. I,would recommend using a water-based lube because of the thinness. I will never use trojans again.

This and Kimono MicroThin (Large) are my absolute favourite condoms.

I found this condom to be really good in my search for "barely there" condoms, but it came out second on my list. It was very thin and sensitive, but I couldn't lose the plastic feeling that you have when you know you're using a condom.

Best condom I've used. Ultra thin, feels like nothing is there. A little thicker than Kimono MicroThin, but better fit for a medium, where MicroThin feels like it may slip. Quite expensive.

Amazing condom, such a good feeling. Transfers warmth so much better and when used with good lube is about as good as it gets. I'm buying more!
