This is the first time I've tried an anal lube that is intended to relax your, uh, booty hole.
First thing we noticed was the strong scent before we could even apply it. We couldn't decide what it was without looking at the ingredients - I said black licorice and my husband said anise. We both agreed it smelled like clove cigarettes and behold: clove oil is in the ingredients. We were not fans.
The instructions said it takes 3-10 minutes for the product to take effect, so we opted first for some good old fashioned doggy style so my husband could massage the product on his second point of entry for a few minutes. Eventually, after about 5 minutes, I felt very warm where the product had been applied and decided that must mean it's go time.
Did it relax me? Well, I don't believe so to be honest. It felt very warm, but I didn't notice my experience with anal being any different this time than it is any other time besides the warmth. I usually fully relax after initial penetration and do not experience any pain. My husband and I worked up to a place of trust with this very intimate (and dare I say forbidden) practice and I haven't felt the need to obtain any products that would make it easier, though I would love for there to be zero discomfort from the start, if possible. Since the initial discomfort still occurred, I would say that this product likely didn't change anything for me.
As far as providing lubrication, it's plenty slick and has a nice, gel consistency.
Cleanup was no big deal, I just wiped it away and went about my business, though I will say that the very warm sensation stayed with me for a while after...I'd say for probably another hour after the deed was done.
In all, this isn't a bad lube. The warming sensation could likely provide a distraction, thus helping you relax and if you enjoy the scent, it's a good lube to get the job done.
