Sliquid | Swirl: Green Apple

Really enjoyed the green apple flavor, gave me jolly rancher vibes. Also felt great but after a while it does tend to get sticky which is the only downside

I've previously reviewed the feel, texture, etc., of Sliquid lubes on the item page for their strawberry pomegranate flavor, so I'll just address the taste of this product here and then paste my review for the other aspects below that since those are all the same regardless of flavor.

I definitely liked this flavor the least of all the Sliquid flavored lubes. It wasn't really for us. However, it should be noted, that I don't really like the whole artificial green apple flavor in general, whether it's candy or whatever. So, my thoughts on this could be taken with a grain of salt because it's not really an issue with the product itself but rather with my own personal predispositions.

That said, I didn't exactly dislike this product, either, and I think that's because, once again, Sliquid keeps their flavors very subtle. And, in doing this, it allowed me to still enjoy the product to a degree despite the fact that I was going into it with a general aversion to this particular flavor. I was still able to taste my wife over the flavor of this lube, so it worked out okay anyway. If you like green apple flavor, I would recommend this product for you. They really do a good job with it. But, if, like me, you're not partial to this particular flavor, I would recommend going with one of the other Sliquid flavors (cherry vanilla being my favorite).

Thoughts regarding the feel and texture of Sliquid lubes in general pasted below:

My wife and I enjoyed this product. Honestly, we don't normally use any type of artificial lubrication as it's not really necessary for us since she pretty much takes care of that naturally. However, we may indulge every now and then just to see what certain lubes feel like or how they taste, which was the case here.

The feel of the product was great. It wasn't too thick or too runny. It was enough for us to notice that things were slicker than usual, but it wasn't overbearing and still allowed us to feel each other naturally.

I also didn't notice it getting too tacky as is often the case with lots of water-based lubes. We really only used it during oral foreplay and at the beginning of our PIV interaction, so it wasn't something that took center stage during the whole event. It's possible that it could eventually get tackier if you used it for an extended session, but we didn't notice that as a problem for us.

Although this isn't a product we would use on a regular basis, that's not a reflection on this item itself. It has to do with the fact that we just don't use lube very often in general. But, if you're looking for a good water-based lube that maintains a good balance between thick and runny, has a good feel, a subtle but enjoyable taste, and doesn't get tacky right away, you should give this product a shot. I think you'll enjoy it.

I'm not a fan of apple-flavored stuff normally, but I was pleasantly surprised with this lube. My boyfriend enjoyed the taste, as did I. I love how it's subtle, smells delicious, and actually tastes sweet rather than tart, which was the best part for me. I also like it's liquidity. You don't have to squeeze it out of the package.

The only downside is when it starts to dry, it gets sticky. I would recommend adding additional, nonflavored lube before sex.

After experiencing the Intimate Earth flavored lubes, I was very excited to try this one. Green apple is definitely a guilty pleasure flavor for me, and I'd heard great things about Sliquid before, so both together seemed like a winning combination. I was mostly correct on this.

One of my biggest issues with the other lube I've tried is how tacky it can get when using hands. While this one still did that a bit, something I am growing to understand is common with water-based lubes, the Sliquid lube was much better about staying slippery--especially when compared to Intimate Earth! It felt like water when poured out of the packet (yes, poured and not really squeezed), and while it did dry up eventually it took time and didn't feel overly tacky. Win!

Cleanup was also a breeze- it easily licked right off of my hand, and any remaining bits can be cleaned easily with water.

The big thing that was somewhat of a letdown was the taste. I am a lover of all things green apple, and this had an amazing smell that unfortunately I don't feel like it quite delivered on. It smelled nice and tart with a hint of underlying sweetness, but my taste experience with this was exactly the opposite- just a hint of that tart apple goodness, but mostly just sweet. It is sweetened with aspartame, which may be why I was picking up on more sweetness than I like in an apple flavor. If I'd picked another, maybe that aspartame-super-sweetness would be a feature and not a bug! (Aspartame naysayers have yet to convince me that it's pure awful and destined to harm me, but it sure is sweet.)

Overall, this performed very well as a lube, and I still hold high hopes for the other flavors it comes in, but this particular one was just a bit of a miss for me. That's entirely subjective, though; people who like a sweeter apple flavor might well love this one.
